Laocoon & the Belvedere Torso at the Pio-Clementino Museum in the Vatican

I am hoping I will be able to spend a great deal of time at the Pio-Clementino for its collection of sculpted bodies.  I want to see the sculptures that radially influenced Michelangelo, & reportedly made him cry, because prior to seeing what the ancients could sculpt he believed he was the greatest sculptor of all time.  As a figurative sculptor, it is imperative that I go directly to the source of influence that has lasted centuries & see how my vision can be redirected.  These figures are idealized yet so powerful in their emotive ability.  After this, I want to see EVERYTHING by Bernini.
