The Temple of Castor and Pollux

The Temple of Castor and Pollux in theRoman Forum was initially built in 484 BC. According to Roman mythology Castorand Pollux were the twins sons of Leda and Zeus. Castor was born mortal and Pollux was born immortal. According to legend the twins were accredited for the victory of the Battle of Lake Regillus. After the Romans won the battle general Aulus Postumius built the temple in their honor.
